Using the Contactless Smart Card Guard Dog Biometric Reader
GuardDog is a small fingerprint verification unit that compares fingerprint templates stored on an iButton® or Mifare® contactless card with live fingerprint data. Both models are built for personal verification in harsh environments—
designed to withstand moisture, heat, and cold. Both GuardDog models include an AuthenTec FingerLoc™ AF-S2™ fingerprint imaging module, a main processor board, LED status indicators, and a buzzer for audible accept or reject indicators. GuardDogs can be operated as standalone units or networked and have four standard outputs: Wiegand, RS-232, RS-485, and Digital I/O.

An
Evaluation Kit is available for evaluating the GuardDog's capabilities and a Developer's Tool Kit can be purchased after signing a non-disclosure agreement.
